Yonder I hear the call of the river
Calling out to me in a loving voice
A voice draped in the finest silk
Of most fragile silence dipped in milk

The drowsy moon hangs over the water
Dreaming away in a deep silent trance
Letting his sweetness flow gently down
In a stream of silvery shimmering silk

The silent song of the serene river
Rides the lethargic meditative wind
She floats up to me in a gentle grace
Draped in the perfume of jasmines

You sit next to me wrapped in silence
Only your shining eyes are eloquent
Speaking to me in gentle, soft tones
Soothing my heart and my restless mind

Speak to me as you do now
Speak to me every night
